Diane Mulcahy
Private Equity Adviser - Kauffman Foundation
Diane Mulcahy is a private equity adviser for the Kauffman Foundation and previously worked as an adviser to a single family office, and as part of McKinsey & Co.’s corporate finance practice. Before joining McKinsey, she was vice president and an officer of American Century Ventures, Inc., a $100 million startup corporate venture fund. Earlier, Mulcahy was a vice president in the health care practice of Bessemer Venture Partners.
Mulcahy is the author of two books on venture capital, and has written for Harvard Business Review, Forbes as well as several industry publications. Her work on private equity / venture capital investing has been featured in The Economist, the Financial Times, Fortune, The New Yorker, and the Wall Street Journal. Her most recent book is The Gig Economy, a best-selling book on Amazon that has been translated into five languages.
Mulcahy holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Harvard University.
